Community Violence Intervention Funding Opens June 1

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Beginning June 1, 2026, the Benton-Franklin Health District (BFHD) will accept proposals from qualified organizations to implement strategies from the region’s Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Plan.

Applications for the CVI funding are due by July 10, 2026. The CVI Plan was developed in partnership with the Community Safety Council, aiming to reduce community violence through coordinated strategies. The funding opportunity supports organizations that can help implement these strategies.

The BFHD announced the funding opportunity on May 28, 2026, as part of broader community safety efforts. This follows other health-focused initiatives including overdose prevention and mental health awareness activities announced earlier this year.
