Kennewick Updates Public Notice Procedures

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Kennewick City Council has updated its public notice procedures to comply with Washington state law, according to records published on the city's website.

The city must publish notices in the Tri-City Herald's digital edition and on its website at least 10 days before meetings or hearings, unless emergency circumstances apply. Special meetings require 24-hour notice, per state law.

City Clerk's office will post notices on the city's website, at City Hall, and send notifications to media contacts. Regular Council meetings will have preliminary agendas available by 5 p.m. every Friday before the meeting.
