US 2 paving, SR 169 closure begin

Travelers on US 2 west of Cashmere will encounter single-lane closures in both directions Mondays through Thursdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. until mid-to-late September for paving work between milepost 105 and 109.

SR 169 will close both directions between Southeast 332nd Street and Plass Road near Jones Lake starting 12:01 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, for 35 days to remove a fish barrier. Local access remains open along the route.

I-5 will see nightly lane closures south of Barnes Drive from 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, for paving work. SR 9 will remain closed south of Mount Vernon Big Lake Road until 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, for fish passage installation.
